:: Lunch & Learn - Kerkstra Precast - Precast Trusses and Precast SolutionsLocation: FSU\GRCC Applied Technology Center, 151 Fountain Street, Grand Rapids MI 49503
Participants will be introduced to all aspects of precast concrete. An overview of the manufacturing process, erecting process, and each precast product will be presented. Sustainable attributes of precast concrete will be discussed, along with the design flexibility and long-term benefits of precast concrete.

Participants will learn the features and benefits of a total precast structure that is constructed with a brand new, patented precast truss system. The precast concrete truss system opens up many possibilities in the design and construction of a building that combines parking, retail, and living all in one. The truss system allows for alternating floors to be free of obstructions from columns and opens the space up for countless possibilities.
