As part of its monthly program series to bring awareness to issues impacting the quality of life in western Michigan, The Grand Valley Chapter of the American Institute of Architects (AIA Grand Valley) presented ”Historic Preservation as an Economic Development Strategy" on Thursday, April 28 at the GVSU Loosemore Auditorium in Grand Rapids, with special guest speaker John Gallagher, award-winning journalist and Architectural Critic for the Detroit Free Press.  Mr. Gallager is co-author of the book, "The AIA Guide to Detroit Architecture".  The program was sponsored by McGraw-Hill.  The public was invited.
